Refund Policy

    1. Refunds, when due, shall be made without requiring a request from the student.
    2. Refunds, when due, shall be made within 45 days (1) of the last day of attendance if written notification of withdrawal has been provided to the institution by the student, or (2) from the date the institution terminates the student.
    3. No refunds will be given on application/registration fees, bookstore purchases, entrance exams or insurance.
    4. No refunds will be given for administratively withdrawn students.
    5. Fees for all classes in a respective term(s) are due (a) at the time of registration and/or (b) on the date(s) set by a Tuition Installment Plan (TIP).
    6. Students who pay with financial aid will be responsible for the difference resulting between registration cost and the financial aid award.

    1. In the event of class cancellation, all tuition and fees will be refunded.
    2. If a student formally withdraws on or before the first scheduled day of instruction, 100% of the tuition and lab fees paid shall be refunded. No refunds will be issued on application/registration fees, bookstore purchases, entrance exams or insurance.
    3. If a student formally withdraws after the first day of class, and no later than the first five (5) class days of the student's scheduled entry date, 75% of the tuition and lab fees paid shall be refunded. No refunds will be issued on application/registration fees, bookstore purchases, entrance exams or insurance.
    4. For Active Military Students: any currently enrolled student at an area technical center who is called to, or enlists in, active military service shall not incur academic or financial penalties by performing military service on behalf of our country. Such student shall be permitted the option of either completing the course or courses at a later date without penalty or withdrawing from the course or courses with a full refund of tuition and lab fees paid. No refunds will be issued on application/registration fees, bookstore purchases, entrance exams or insurance. If the student chooses to withdraw, the student's record shall reflect that the withdrawal is due to active military service. The Title IV Fair and Equitable Refund policy applies to all Title IV (Federal Pell Grant) recipients. Detailed information can be found in the Bookkeepers office.
    5. Student who have not visited the school facility prior to enrollment will have the opportunity to withdraw without penalty following, either attendance at a regularly scheduled orientation or following a tour of the facilities and inspection of the equipment. No refunds will be issued on application/registration fees, bookstore purchases, entrance exams or insurance.

  • In compliance with Senate Bill 204 (2023), Money Back Guarantee Program amended section (s.) 1011.803, Florida Statute, these six career and technical education programs offered by our college will be subject to the Money Back Guarantee Program:  Practical Nursing, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Assisting, Plumbing, Electricity, and HVAC/R 1.

     

    Students in these programs have 30 days to apply six months after their program completion date.  To be eligible for a tuition refund, students must meet the Money Back Guarantee Program Requirements listed below. 

     

    Students must request an application from the business office.

     

    Program Requirements:

    • Successfully completed a program of study above
    • Earned an industry certification/licensure associated with the program of study above
    • Student attendance of 95% or higher
    • Student program performance of 80% or higher
    • If clinicals are offered, 100% attendance during clinicals. 
    • Career Fair Attendance
    • Career plan and resume writing with the career services department
    • 3 completed job applications
    • 3 letters from interviews/job searches
