AHA Basic Life Support Renewal CPR (BLS-R)

A group of people participate in a first aid training course, learning CPR on a dummy.

This course is designed for medical personnel already certified in BLS and require re-certification. Proof of prior certification must be provided before attending renewal course.

The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.

This course is for individuals required to obtain CPR skills in the healthcare profession as a Nurse, EMT, Paramedic, Physical Therapist or as any other individuals providing healthcare as a career.
