The purpose of this program is to give industry partners assistance in training their new or current employees while molding them to fit within their individual company’s work structure.

  • Carpentry Apprenticeship – Apprentices are employed by a contractor that self performs carpentry and agrees to sponsor the apprentice. The apprentice will attend classes offered through Osceola Technical College, where they will receive a minimum of 144 hours per year of related technical instruction, as well as gaining OJT hours for training that they receive from their employer during their normal work scheduling. (Minimum 2000 hours/year) After taking the introductory level, General Carpentry, trainees can choose to pursue a path of advanced building construction or concrete formwork.
